Over the past 14 years, my passion for sport began to blend with a desire to see a change in the way high-performing individuals are developed in athletics, business, and e-sports. “Right Effort” has been a concept deeply rooted in my philosophy as I have seen people work inefficiently and ineffectively as they are instructed to blindly pursue goals that don’t align with their identity or learn from others how to be motivated by unhealthy sources like fear of failure, financial achievement, or recognition as these inevitably run them into the ground.
Outside of teaching people tools and skills for how to master their minds or live with stress, my work is devoted to helping people thrive by aligning their personalities, interests and values towards a meaningful life that maximizes the impact they can have on the people around them. This is only possible when we do the hard work of recalibrating the most essential part of human performance…our core beliefs.

From the lacrosse field to the counseling room, my journey in sports has shaped not just my career, but my entire worldview. As a former NCAA, professional, and international lacrosse athlete, I’ve experienced firsthand the triumphs and challenges that come with pursuing peak performance. These experiences now fuel my passion for helping others navigate their own paths in sport and life.
In the world of modern sports, most athletes are intently focused on developing sport-specific individual and team skills, while mental skills are often an afterthought. This means that a potentially game-changing aspect of performance is overlooked. My mission is to bridge this gap, helping athletes recognize and harness the power of mental skills to elevate their game and enrich their lives.
With 15 years of coaching experience and national certification, I’ve had the privilege of guiding athletes from youth leagues to NCAA levels. This unique perspective allows me to connect deeply with athletes at every stage of their journey, understanding the nuances of each phase of an athletic career. I believe wholeheartedly in the power of sport to positively transform lives, and I’m committed to helping others harness this potential.
My approach is rooted in openness, curiosity, empathy, and positivity. I strive to create a supportive environment where athletes can explore their challenges, discover their strengths, and develop the mental tools needed for success both on and off the field. Whether you’re looking to enhance your performance, overcome obstacles, or simply grow as an individual through sport, I’m here to support your journey.

My personal story as an athlete and artist goes back farther than my memory does, but for as long as I do remember, sports and arts have been passions of mine. I’ve been fortunate to experience both in a truly wide variety of ways, in groups and individually, and as enthusiast, competitor, and coach. My journey has taken me from the court, field, and track to the trails, slopes, and sea, and I’m grateful to have travelled globally in pursuit of those passions. The gifts and lessons that sports and the arts have given me have been profound and formative, and too numerous to count. One of those gifts has been meeting a diversity of athletes and artists from across the world, and that sparked a fascination with the journeys and life experiences of others in sports and art, and beyond.
My own winding path in art and sport has included success, confidence, progress, comradery, and views from the top. But, as with any really interesting story, it has also included injury, heartbreak, defeat, doubt, loneliness, and time in much darker places. I strongly believe that our experiences in sport and the arts play defining roles in who we are as human beings at all stages of life, and I believe that our life experiences outside of those areas influence who we are as athletes, artists, and performers, likewise. I see us as whole human beings who exist at the intersection of those and other unique identities, with each identity contributing to the others and to us as complete people.
One of my guiding intentions in mental health is to honour each of us as a whole person, and to do what I’m able to in helping with healing, learning, growth, and success. I want to support others to thrive in sport, art, and life. I’m here to meet you where you’re at, and to help you along a path that leads where you want to go.
I am proudly 2SLGBTQIA+ and neurodiversity-affirming, and I work happily with and welcome clients of all genders, ethnicities, physical abilities, religious beliefs, and cultures.

As a kid I remember always wanting to be involved within the world competitive sports and performance in some capacity. For me, this passion developed on the football field. I was fortunate to play football throughout my entire life, including at the university level. During this time, my teammates and I struggled with many different concerns that impacted our performance on and off the field, as well as the many relationships we had.
These different experiences have led me here, to work towards helping the next generation of athletes, business owners, and individuals reach their highest potential. I realized early on that, as athletes, we need to ensure we are not only taking care of our bodies but we are also making time for our mental health.
My role is to help people reach new heights and become more confident and comfortable participating in their areas of performance. My goal is to have individuals fall in love with their performance and enjoy the personal growth and development that is to come.

I am enthusiastic about working in sport and performance psychology because I have a deep passion for teaching individuals the mental skills that they need to reach their goals. Developing an understanding of one’s self, how to set attainable yet challenging goals and reaching for success is a skill that I teach clients. I am passionate about working with athletes and performers to help them handle the pressures of life and sport in a constructive way, sharing knowledge and ideas to work together to achieve success. My personal experience in sport, as well as formal educational tools and experience utilizing mental skills, aid the lives of those I work with.
I strive to create a safe space for clients to learn/practice mental skills, discover what works best for them and explore what pushes them in a safe space that allows for mistakes to be learned from. I use motivational interviewing and change talk to work with my athletes to cooperatively explore solutions with a focus on strengths as assets and tools for personal success.
My experience as an athlete, coach, and kinesiologist and my master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology are all important contributors to my ability to connect and bring out the best in my clients.
